What is it?
This is a wonderful opportunity for kids in 1st through 12th grades to get their science, physics and engineering brains exercised at the Engineers Week Student Competitions. They can participate in as many or few competitions as you want and some of them you can have teams! Bring a friend! You only need to be there for 2-3 hours to get all the fun packed in, but if you choose not to do all the competitions you can participate for a shorter time. There are competitions for paper airplanes, egg drops, egg tosses, boat building, lego structure creating, earthquaking, and tower building. Hundreds of students across southcentral Alaska attend this wonderful, free event every year and we would love to see you there. Prior preparation is not needed for any competition but one (the Tower of Power – see instruction below) of the competitions, so just show up!
