We had a great time on Saturday at the Student Competitions – many thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, unlocked doors (Thanks Officer Chu!), coordinated the event and more!

We had a great turnout with students in attendance from all around Southcentral Alaska.  By our count, we had over 200 students come through the competitions from more than 38 different schools / home school groups!  There were paper airplanes that spanned the color spectrum everywhere, harrowing tales of eggs that did (or didn’t) survive their respective tosses and drops, super-strong balsa bridges that withstood over 1,500 pounds of force, a lego longo battle almost to the death and more – if you didn’t make it this year, you missed out!

Here are the event by event results:

If you or your child placed 1-3 in an event but weren’t able to stick around for the awards at the end of the day and would like to pick up your ribbon, or have any other event feedback (good and bad), please contact Zach Zaletel at zzaletel@gmail.com.
